Recreational marijuana, mask mandate ban, teacher pay raises and more

This Week in Oklahoma Politics, KOSU’s Michael Cross talks with Republican Political Consultant Neva Hill and Civil Rights Attorney Ryan Kiesel about the Supreme Court announcing a recreational marijuana measure will not be on the ballot in November, the high court striking down part of a law banning facemasks unless the governor declares a state of emergency and Democratic gubernatorial candidate Joy Hofmeister calling for a $5,000 raise for teachers.
The trio also discusses the special session where lawmakers are poised to give more than one billion dollars to 45 projects across the state and the Department of Human Services promising $10,000 dollar per child grants for day care centers in “childcare deserts.”
